Objectives

To produce skilled engineers and technologists developing their understanding of industrial management through use of information technology.

To improve students knowledge of engineering and principles of industrial management including decision-making in engineering, financial and investment management, possibility analysis in engineering and economics to support development in innovation and technology in response to market demand.

The program has elective courses in the areas of quality management, technology management, and operations management.

Students graduating from this program can apply to become professional administrator in engineering such as production manager, consultant engineer, project manager, maintenance manager, etc.

Study Plans

The Master of Engineering Management program offers a thesis plan (Plan A) and a non-thesis option plan (Plan B).
  1. Plan A: thesis option
    Students who study in Plan A must complete the Dissertation of 48 credits and other necessary coursework according to their supervisors recommendation.
  2. Plan B: non-thesis option
    Students who study in Plan B must complete the curriculum requirement of 48 credits, including 3 credits of Mathematics, 6 credits of Basic Administration, 33 credits of Engineering Management, and 6 credits of elective courses.

Language of Instruction

Thai language is used as medium of instruction.

Duration of Study

The Master of Engineering Management program is a 2-year program. Each student must complete all the requirements for the degree within 4 years from the semester of first enrollment.

Academic Calendar

The academic year consists of two semesters per years, each consisting of no less than 15 weeks.

Evaluation and Graduate Requirements

Student evaluation is conducted in accordance with Siam University regulation. Grades for each course will be entered on the student’s transcript by a letter grade and a numerical equivalent as follows.

  • If and when undergraduate courses are required as remedial courses, the grade of C or better is equivalent to S.

  • Grade of I (Incomplete) and W (Withdrawn with permission) may also be used.

  • Grade for any and all classes must be recorded in the student's transcript.
